WINDOWS

The windows in your home set its style and character and at WG Joinery, we craft the high quality, wooden windows your property deserves.

Our windows are not pre-made and this allows us to create something truly unique, or match something that is already there.

Period style

If you have a period or listed property replacing windows can be a nightmare. You want the character and charm of your property to be maintained and ‘off the shelf’ windows just won’t do.

Our windows are custom made using solid timber and we have a great deal of expertise in the creation of period style windows that are sympathetic to the age of your property, yet with all the benefits of new, modern windows.

Unusual sizes and shapes

Many of our clients come to us because they want a window that is an unusual size or shape. This is often the need in building conversions such as barns and agricultural buildings where windows are needed to fit specific areas and shapes.

Cutting edge design

Although a lot of what we do is with older properties, we also work with architects and designers to help them create their vision for wooden windows but in a cutting-edge design.

New Accoya wood

We are now using Accoya wood for many of our bespoke windows. Accoya is a high technology wood produced from sustainably sourced fast growing wood and manufactured using Accsys's proprietary patented modification process from surface to core. It's properties include naturally insulation, consistent quality throughout, retained strength and hardness and is non-toxic and recyclable.

Types of windows:

  • Traditional box sash windows
  • Storm-proof windows
  • Casement windows
  • Yorkshire sliders
  • Round windows
  • Roof lanterns
  • Wooden shutters
