Replacement windows and doors for pretty period cottage

This picturesque period cottage was set in an idyllic rural setting but its charm was being masked by ugly UPVC windows.

We replaced all windows, doors and French doors with modern hardwood double glazed multi-point locking windows. The windows were built in Red Sapele and the doors in Accoya wood. Accoya is a sustainable wood that is sourced from fast-growing, responsibly managed forests and provides durability that exceeds even the best tropical hardwoods. IT is ideal for doors as it is resistant to rot, fungus and infestation and it does not absorb water so does not swell or contract.

The windows and doors were designed in a cottage style in keeping with the property and finished in a period colour paint. The new windows and doors are not only thermally efficient and secure but have allowed the personality of this lovely cottage to shine through.
